I was inspired to paint this scene from the Quiet man film by my Father, the movie has a nostalgic feel for me as it was my father’s favorite film. I selected the last scene of the movie as it symbolizes conflict resolved, respect earned, love secured. Sean Thornton (John Wayne) stands relaxed his once tense posture softened, beside him Mary Kate Danaher(Maureen O Hara) leans towards him with pride & affection. Their body language radiates warmth & reconciliation.
